President Obama’s foreign policy is turning out to be just as bad as his approach domestically, and that’s saying something. He's the new kid on the block and everyone's lining up to capitalize on his ignorance. To make matters worse, Obama seems to be of the mindset that he’ll give concessions to our enemies and not worry about getting anything in return, all the while apologizing for being the world’s foremost super power...because that's a very bad thing in liberal circles. Nile Gardner from the Telegraph has noticed and comments on the growing praise from UN members who are beginning to like this weak, pacifist regime:
His appeasement of Iran, his bullying of Israel, his surrender to Moscow, his call for a nuclear free world, his siding with Marxists in Honduras, his talk of a climate change deal, have all won him plaudits in the large number of UN member states where US foreign policy has traditionally been viewed with contempt.
Simply put, Barack Obama is loved at the UN because he largely fails to advance real American leadership. This is a dangerous strategy of decline that will weaken US power and make her far more vulnerable to attack.
This is the Jimmy Carter blueprint of foreign policy where we stand down to tyrants and hope everyone just behaves themselves. It didn’t work then and certainly won’t now. President Obama is slowly emerging as a global laughingstock – a feeble leader that can be easily taken advantage of – and taking the reputation of this country down with him.
